These slide shows are a slection of photos we have collected from the making of our documentary. From visiting squatters in there homes and getting an understanding of how they live.
These are photos from when we visited Geoff and Sammi in Kew Gardens. They moved in just a few months ago and found that the house had been emptied for more than ten years... shows once again another waste of a great big and beautiful house. Geoff and Sammi showed us around there home, all the things they found around the house and turned it into a home. In the documentary you will find out much more about them.
We found Holly-Jade on an article online for the guardian, but she wasnt actually a part of the article but a comment she had left caught our eye and we were determined to meet her. The article was actually about a friend who was squatting in the house from the article and she commented on how wrong it was and how she helped them move out. Through research we found her through her business and she was more than happy to invite her to her house to meet her and her home in South London.
Pheonix Rainbow was an amazing man. He was so happy to help us and to provide us with information about himself and the life of squatting. He showed us around his "office" in which he helps other squatters find places to live and a community room in which they have different things happening all the time such as music and movie nights. He showed us all around and introduced us to his friends. We are hoping to meet up with him again soon to find out how he is going.

As a group we headed to Soho in London to meet Dan from teh oubliette. We arrived at the address he gave us which for the first time wasnt a house but an abondoned warehoue/factory. It had the look of that it would of been empty for a long time. We called Dan once we were there but there was no answer and also we couldnt find an entry to see if we could find our way in. After 45mins we left, however later that evening we had an apology from Dan that he didnt make it to us in time. So we are hoping to re-arrange a meeting with him soon. |
